A UK law firm has been forced to apologise after sending out a promotional tweet to people who suffered injuries on the Alton Towers rollercoaster crash.
Broad Yorkshire Law sent out the distasteful tweet as the incident that saw four people seriously injured unfolded.
The firm jumped on trending topics about the crash as they tweeted: “Been injured in a roller coaster crash?! We’re experts in Personal Injury!! #Smiler #AltonTowers”
Many tweeters expressed their disgust with the post, with some branding them “vultures”.
The company deleted their tweet after 30 minutes and issued an apology, writing: “Please accept our sincere apologies for any offence caused, none was intended and our best wishes go out to those who were stranded.”
