Barbara Dunn, 84, has been bombarded with up to four requests a day for the last 15 years ordering her to hand over money.
She has even been told to make a will to donate her estate to charities.
The harassment got so bad Mrs Dunn was hospitalised with depression and anxiety.
She revealed the staggering extent of nuisance calls after Britain’s oldest poppy seller Olive Cooke, 92, threw herself off a bridge in Bristol having been hounded by charities asking for money.
Mrs Dunn believes she has donated £7,800 over the 15 years, initially setting direct debits to a children’s’ charity and animal sanctuary for £3 a month each.
Within weeks the harassment began – first with letters, then with phone calls asking for money or checking she had received their letters.
